Primary School

The school’s large learning environments nurture all kinds of intelligences and the Ardee classrooms have projector led teaching, alongside with the Mentor. “Montessori Laboratory” Provide a conducive environment for exploration with didactic manipulative which encourage students to think for themselves, promoting self-direction and self-leadership, thereby allowing them the freedom to pursue their own interests.

Each child’s day meticulously planned so that there is a judicious blend of curricular and co-curricular activities alternating between indoor and outdoor environments.

Inbuilt in the school curriculum are unique programmes for stimulation of the students interest and mind.

The curriculum in the Primary includes Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Art, French, Hindi, History, Geography, Music, ICT, PE and Peace Education.

Students have regular project rubric that is to be completed at home. These are extensions of our yearly theme being taught at school that help to tie the home and school environments together.

 


Secondary and Senior Secondary school- IGCSE/ A - AS levels and IB (International Bacceaulerate)

Pedagogically speaking, the learning approach integrates IGCSE/ Cambridge with the Montessori method to prepare ardeeians to take CIE at various levels.

The secondary school is organised into three key stages.

  • Cambridge Secondary 1 (Grades 6-8)
  • Cambridge Secondary 2 IGCSE examinations (Grades 9 & 10)
  • Cambridge Advanced – AS & A level examinations (Grades 11 & 12)

In terms of the curriculum, the programme aims to provide students a broad and balanced curriculum which is delivered through Skills-based learning incorporating the multiple intelligences concepts. Lessons are student-centred, project-based. and experiential where students learn through discovery and participative activities.

The following subjects are offered in Cambridge secondary 1 currently: English, Languages (Hindi, French) Global perspective, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts (Art and Design), Drama, Music and Information Communication Technology), Physical Education which includes swimming, yoga and Taekwondo.
