Chanda Raisinghani
President & Trustee | The Ardee Schools
Chanda Raisinghani is the President and Trustee of the Cambridge affiliated “The Ardee Schools” in North and west India. She is an educationist who has acquired a name for herself in the field of Teacher Training and together with the Chairperson Shefali Varma has opened five schools in the past decade and a half. Schools which are committed to provide students to exceed their dreams and fulfil their true potential, academically, physically and socially.
Schools which have a “no holds barred policy for innovation to inspire and motivate for innovation students to self-learn to make informed choices. She has also held several key positions in various bodies of higher education and was appointed managing member of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), Government of India . She has been working relentlessly in education at all levels for the past forty years with the aim of select meaningful contribution in the education sector.
Her journey began with The Ardee School started in 1990 when the flagship school at Sujan Singh Park was founded and subsequently, under her leadership, the school has won several prestigious awards. She founded “The Montessori Teacher Training” in 1999 which is renowned for providing an outstanding holistic education. It is affiliated to the ‘Indian Montessori Centre’, Kolkata. Teachers, after training have been placed in some of the top Indian and international schools.
She believes in “Education for all” and the opportunity to educate other people's children is a rare privilege, bringing with it a huge responsibility to provide the best all-round education. “Nirmal Hem Bal Siksha” is one such social initiative out of many, a Saturday school run for the underprivileged children. Earlier her initiatives included legal awareness programme in the Noon and Farukh Nagar district and teacher training in Bustis in New Delhi.
Her passion is to motivate all students of different levels and ages to devote themselves to self learning and become socially responsible citizens. She focuses on building of characteristics such as perseverance, resilience, resourcefulness and reflectiveness in children, encouraging them to think critically and learn actively and progress, producing confident individuals and successful learners.
